Dr. Maria Siomos was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Edinburgh, UK and a PhD in Genetics (supervisor: Prof. Kim Nasmyth) from the University of Vienna, Austria. She also holds a Masters degree in Violin Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London, UK as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Violin Performance from the University for Music and Performing Arts, Vienna.
She is a Scientific Officer at the European Research Council Executive Agency in Brussels, where she runs the LS2 Panel (Genetics, ‘Omics’, Bioinformatics and Systems Biology).
